The sponsorship of Harpia UFABC dates back to 2015 and has now been repeated in 2016. The team used CFD++, a CFD solver, and MIME, a mesh generator, to design the wing of the model aircraft that participated in the competition. Mainly to generate flight mechanics results with flaps and ailerons.
It is the first year that ATS participated as a sponsor of the USP-SC teams. They got two first places in the competition: one in the regular class and one in the micro class. CFD++, MIME and Tecplot, CFD results viewer, were used intensively in the project.
