Do you know what CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is?
It is the solution of a flow with or without heat transfer and chemical reactions. Usually solves 3 Momentum Conservation equations (Navier-Stokes by Reynolds mean in the three spatial directions), 1 Energy Conservation equation and 1 Mass Conservation equation, and 1 or more Turbulence Model algebraic or differential equations . When using radiation heat transfer in the DO model, it solves a differential equation by direction or angle. If chemical reactions are added, one differential equation per reaction is included.
CFD++ is one of the best software on the market. There is not a lot of marketing material on the market, but it is used by big companies like Bosch for diesel injectors, Boeing, Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, NASA and the US Air Force.
In Brazil it is used by Brazilian Navy, Institute of Aeronautics and Space (IAE), Institute of Advanced Studies (IEAv), Avibrás, Embraer and others.
