Finite element structural and thermal analysis, coupled to CFD++ for fluid-structure interaction.
CSM++ is Metacomp's finite element code for static, modal and transient, structural and thermal analysis. Integrated with CFD++, CAA++ and MIME through the MetaFSI interface, it enables coupled fluid-thermal-structure interaction (FTSI) simulations with independent meshes for each domain.
Static, eigenvalue (modes and frequencies) and transient; structural with or without thermal stresses, or purely thermal.
Large displacements through a corotational formulation, large strains, hyperelasticity (neo-Hookean, Mooney-Rivlin, Ogden), J2 elastoplasticity with hardening and frictionless contact.
Solids, shells, membranes, beams, trusses, rigid and interface elements, point masses and springs, in linear and parabolic formulations.
Transfers loads from CFD++ to CSM++ and morphs the fluid mesh to follow the structure; meshes do not need to match at the interface.
Forces, moments, pressures, heat flux, convection and radiation; MPCs enforced directly, by penalty or Lagrange multipliers, and automatic glued contact.
Imports MSC Nastran, Abaqus and models (BDF, OP2, STL, LS-DYNA), predicts flutter in real time with the Matrix Pencil method and exports results to Tecplot.
