ATS4i participated in three projects with VALE S/A. Initially, in 2014, the company worked as a subcontractor, and in 2015 and 2017, as a direct service provider. On all three occasions, VALE S/A entered into a contract with ATS4i to study the aerodynamics affecting iron ore freight trains and assess the impact of aerodynamic drag on fuel consumption.
Specifically referring to the latter two projects, for which I served as the technical lead, I can attest to the professionalism, commitment, and technical competence of ATS4i in conducting studies related to fluid dynamics and simulation, utilizing advanced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools.
Additionally, it is important to highlight that all projects were delivered in accordance with the established timelines, and the quality of the results exceeded our expectations.

These contracts involved computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations executed by ATS4i across various areas of Samarco Mineração’s iron ore pelletizing and hardening processes. ATS4i has been a trusted partner of Samarco since 2009.
We also confirm that all services were carried out in compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and within the contractual deadlines, and there is no record of any conduct that would discredit the company.
The responsible manager for these projects was Sérgio Fernando Nunes, Senior Specialist Engineer, General Management of Pelletizing – Ubú Unit, Anchieta.
