Since 2007, ATS has designed, tested and certified systems for the aerospace industry, mining, and oil and gas, with CFD and FEA simulation at every stage.
Each sector has its own particularities in physical and chemical processes and strict regulatory requirements. We combine the two worlds in our projects, improving processes and complying with standards.
Ice accretion and ice protection, pneumatic systems, aerodynamics and certification support, such as a helicopter landing study on ships for the Brazilian Navy.
Pelletizing furnaces, burners and emissions. Combustion of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels, reduced kinetic mechanisms for CFD, biogas, bio-oil, hydrogen and decarbonization.
Erosion, subsea equipment and structural integrity. Gas leaks, accident and fire scenarios, thermal studies, wind over ships, structures and platforms.
Fire safety and smoke control, stairwell pressurization, thermal comfort, ventilation and air conditioning, and pollutant dispersion, with fire department approval.
Combustion, vehicle aerodynamics, thermal comfort, processes, thermal analysis of equipment and fire in industrial plants.
ATS develops iceAccretionFoam, a 3D ice accretion solver built on foam-extend with Prof. Hrvoje Jasak of the University of Cambridge and supported by FAPESP, the São Paulo Research Foundation.
The burner was designed entirely in CFD, with CFD++ coupled to chemical kinetics models. A single prototype was built and tested in Samarco’s pelletizing furnace in Ubu, Brazil. The work received the 2026 Aço Verde do Brasil award.
